Buying guide
How much does a water filtration system cost in South Africa?
Real installed prices for drinking-water and whole-house filtration in South Africa — from R4,262 for a single-stage system to R12,148 for advanced triple-stage treatment.
The honest answer is: it depends on your water source, how much of the property you want to treat, and whether you need disinfection as well as filtration. But you should never have to guess. Below are real, installed prices from our current range so you can budget with confidence.
Drinking-water systems (under counter)
A point-of-use system treats water at a single tap — usually the kitchen. An installed Stiebel Eltron Stream 5S under-counter system with its own drinking-water tap costs R6,364.60 including installation. An installed Everpure 4C drinking-water bundle — cartridge, filter head, tap, tubing, fittings and professional installation — costs R6,875.60.
Whole-house systems (point of entry)
A whole-house system treats every drop entering the property. Installed prices from our JoJo range: a 1-stage 10-inch sediment system from R4,262.80; a 20-inch sediment combo from R5,761.41; a dual-stage 20-inch system with sediment and activated carbon from R7,745.41; and an advanced triple-stage 20-inch system with sediment, activated carbon and Disruptor media from R12,147.91.
Water testing first
If you are on a borehole, well or tank supply, test before you buy. A SANS 241 water analysis costs R3,663.09 and tells us exactly what needs treating — so you pay for the right system once, rather than the wrong system twice.
What affects the price
Number of filtration stages and the media inside them. Flow rate required — a guest house needs more than a flat. Source water quality — borehole water may need iron removal or UV disinfection. Installation complexity — pipework, mounting and tap fitting.
Every Skoon quotation itemises the kit, labour, sundries and transport separately, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Request a quote and we will specify around your water, your flow rate and your budget.
